Jocelyn received her canine trainer certification through Animal Behavior College, and has been working with dogs professionally for over 15 years. She is well experienced with dog daycare, kenneling, basic grooming, and veterinary assistance. Over the years, she’s discovered that she had a love for dog behavior in particular, and concentrates her energies on techniques that use positive reinforcement methods such as lures and rewards rather than punishment. Jocelyn continues her education by regularly attending seminars and keeping up with the most current training techniques. She is also Red Cross Canine CPR & First Aid certified, and is working on attaining her training certification through the Council of Certified Pet dog Trainers (CPDT). Jocelyn has three dogs of her own; a boxer named Gus, and two mixed breeds named Boots and Tess. When she’s not working at The Barking Dog, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, foraging for edible mushrooms, doing artwork, and spending time with her family. Jocelyn is also a proud current member of APDT.
